Ventura County, California
The Point Mugu Four Wheel Drive Club is an active group of four wheel drive enthusiasts located in Ventura County, California. Point Mugu 4x4 was originally formed by a group of wheelin' buddies at the Point Mugu military base, since then the club has grown into a diverse group with outings and trail rides throughout the year. The primary function of Point Mugu 4x4 is to promote and participate in safe and responsible off-highway, four wheel drive, family oriented activities, and to educate the public on how to properly use and conserve our lands. We also support and participate in efforts to keep trails open by working closely with the Department of Forestry, CORVA, CA4WDC, The Blue Ribbon Coalition and supporting our local community. The point Mugu 4WD Club is a member of CA4WDC (California Association of 4WD Clubs)and each of our members is also a member of one of the aforementioned groups. The club is composed of the owners of "Green Sticker" vehicles such as ATV's, motorcycles, 3-wheelers, trail bikes, and dune buggies, as well as "street legal" 4x4 vehicles, dual sport motorcycles, bajas, and desert racers. Our Annual Fright Night & Poker Run event helps us raise money and awareness to support CORVA, CA4WDC and The Blue Ribbon Coalition. These groups spend all of their time keeping trails open and working with local, state and federal government agencies to maintain access to our public lands for everyone. We also maintain the Lockwood Valley/Miller Jeep Trail located in Los Padres national forest.
Membership is contingent upon attending one or more meetings, participating in at least three club events, paying the annual dues and maintaining membership in one or more of the aforementioned groups. For more information about our club, including membership information, please e-mail email@example.com. As a member you will recieve one t-shirt, one hat, two stickers, and an array of good memories that will last a lifetime. Point Mugu Four Wheel drive is a not-for-profit organization.
