Mid-Illini Jeep Club

LOCATION:

Illinois

ABOUT:

The Mid-Illini Jeep Club (MIJC) is a local Jeep enthusiasts club.  Most of our members live and work in the Peoria, Illinois area, although we have members who live outside the tri-county area.  We are a "Jeeps Only" club which promotes family-oriented four-wheeling.  Each MIJC member is committed to promoting the safe and responsible use of off-road vehicles.

In addition to MIJC rules, we abide by all Federal, State, and Local Laws as they relate to our sport.  The use of safety-restraint systems is required at all club events.  The use of drugs or alcohol on any trail run at any time is strictly prohibited.

To be a member of our club you just need to have an interest in Jeeps.  For club activities we do limit the vehicles to just Jeeps.  Most members do have other makes of 4WD vehicles, so we are not 'Jeep Bigots'.  Currently, the club members range in age from young to mature, and include singles, families, women and men.

In 2007 we had 50+ members.  Members' Jeep vehicles include a wide range of models, including CJ2A, M38, CJ5, CJ7, CJ8, YJ, TJ, J4000, J10, Wagoneer, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee.  Members' Jeeps go from pure stock to significant modifications.  We have a lot of diversity of vehicles, but with one common thread, they are all "Jeeps".
